“Although your realities are shaped by a broad diversity of circumstances, yet a desire to bring about constructive change and a capacity for meaningful service, both characteristic of your stage of life, are neither limited to any race or nationality, nor dependent upon material means. This bright period of youth you share is experienced by all—but it is brief, and buffeted by numerous social forces. How important it is, then, to strive to be among those who, in the words of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, ‘plucked the fruit of life’.”
— The Universal House of Justice
We are a group of young Ghanaians who are members of the Baha’i Faith. The Baha’i Faith has no clergy and invites everyone to take part in a life-long process of independent investigation and learning about how lofty spiritual principles — such as the elimination of prejudice and the equality of women and men — can be translated into a new social reality. The central teaching of the Baha’i Faith is the oneness of God, the oneness of mankind and the oneness of religion. The Baha’i Faith in this age teaches about community-building and the spiritual empowerment of youth to achieve this. The primary purpose of Baha’iyouthgh.faith is to share some of the activities that Baha’i youth are involved in to help transform their communities in and around Ghana. The Baha’i Faith is organized through a network of elected councils, called Spiritual Assemblies, at the local and national level. In hundreds of localities across Ghana, and in more than 180 countries, Baha’is are engaged in a process of learning, action and reflection about the process of spiritual community building. By filling out the contact forms on this site, you will be put in touch with Baha’is near you. It is not necessary to become a member of the Baha’i Faith to take part in a range of community-building activities, such as junior youth spiritual empowerment programs, study circles, prayer gatherings, and activities for children — everyone is welcome. Together we can build a better community, together we can build a better nation, together we can build a better world.
